Volunteer leadership is crucial to nonprofit organizations. Virtually all of the individuals who choose to serve as board or committee members for nonprofit organizations do so out of a desire to accomplish something meaningful, beyond their own self-interest. Our own experience tells us that serious engagement as a volunteer leader — on the board of a hospital, an arts organization or an institution of higher learning — can be one of life's most rewarding experiences.
We build leadership.
The Dini Partners approach to leadership development builds upon this truth: We have an exceptional record of helping organizations develop board membership and recruitment strategies. We also aid in structuring boards for peak performance, developing board policies, and training board members and members of key volunteer groups to be more effective.
We build teams.
But we also know the importance of teamwork within the organization — among board leadership, executives, professional staff, development staff and volunteers — and between the organization and its clients and community service partners. We believe that team members and organizations working in productive partnership are invariably “better together.” |
